PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

DBN (usually referring to tab-shaped bare terminals with edges and flanges/fins) is a commonly used crimp-type electrical connection terminal. In its name, the 'D' often stands for 'with edge' (having raised flanges), to distinguish it from tab-shaped terminals without flanges. It is used to reliably electrically connect and mechanically secure wires to screw terminal blocks or device terminals.
Its main purpose and core function is to achieve low-resistance, high-conductivity connections between wires and terminal posts in low-voltage electrical systems. It also provides a secure mechanical fixation through screw tightening, preventing wires from falling out due to vibration or pulling. Additionally, it prevents stranded wires from fraying, making multiple fine strands into a single unit for easier installation and avoiding short circuits. It also allows wires of different specifications to connect to standard-sized terminals, improving installation consistency and reliability. Typical applications include distribution systems, industrial control, household appliances, rail transit and automotive wiring harnesses, new energy fields, and building automation.
The conductor part (tubular crimping area) is made of high-conductivity oxygen-free copper, providing optimal conductivity (usually TU1 or TU2). DBN (with edges/flanges) features flanges that prevent the terminal from deforming due to over-tightened screws and also serve to guide and increase contact surface area.
Other product details and features include high conductivity, premium copper material, and quality crimping to ensure low contact resistance and reduce heat generation. Vibration resistance and anti-loosening: proper crimping and screw fixation effectively resist vibration, and flange design prevents over-rotation of screws. Safe and reliable: prevents the direct screwing from cutting or damaging wire strands, eliminating short circuit risks caused by stray wire ends. High installation efficiency: using professional tools allows for fast and consistent batch wiring, far superior to manual twisting. Easy maintenance: when replacement or inspection is needed, the connection can be disconnected simply by loosening the screw without cutting the wire.
